National Taichung Theater
National Taichung Theater is a major work by Toyo Ito, developed around the concept of an inhabitable vessel. Its white curved walls and continuous surfaces create an organic, cave-like spatial character. By day, large openings connect the interior to the sky and city, while light draws gentle shadows across the smooth surfaces. At night, the building glows warmly beside the illuminated fountains and surrounding towers. Its precise yet fluid forms reveal the demanding craftsmanship behind a distinctive urban landmark.
